Salary Grade: G03
Minimum  Midpoint  Maximum
$115,742 - $156,252 - $196,761

Given the financial nature of this position, this position has been defined as a position requiring a credit check. Prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a credit background check.

SUMMARY:

Accountable for leading the Pricing team on developing pricing strategy and innovative pricing options that reflect the evolving electric utility industry and federal and state policy goals.   Responsible for Company rate design (pricing) and related regulatory processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads pricing and rate design discussions and facilities resolutions development with external stakeholders, including leading the Pricing Advisory Committee (PRAC).

Acts as Company¿s expert witness in regulatory proceedings on pricing policy and strategy.

Facilitates pricing options to promote customer choice and satisfaction.

Participates in contract negotiations with large existing and potential customers regarding pricing options that meet their requirements.

Directs load research activities that provide Company with better understanding of customer usage behavior.

Develops strategies and provides counsel to Company leaders on rate design issues.

Develops and maintains a strategic perspective based on marketplace/customer needs and satisfaction, displayed through organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making.

Acts as an internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to institutional priorities, including board of director presentations and visibility.

Designs, supports, and oversees cross-functional teams throughout the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in a related field with seven to nine years of related experience, including four years of management experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline. 

Master¿s degree preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages, leads, and develops the related goals and performance of the revenue requirement/pricing staff. Hires, terminates, trains, coaches, rewards, assigns tasks and special projects, and disciplines employees.  Establishes clear performance objectives and accountabilities for each member of the team.  Actively engages employees to ensure performance improvement and development needs are addressed.  Strategically plan, organize, and tactically lead in support of key business activities and goals.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to write and communicate in a way that persuades and influences internal and external audiences

Ability to write complex correspondence in a customer-focused manner

Ability to write and oversee regulatory testimony in support of Company goals

Ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, market and customer research, financial reports, and legal documents

Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints

Ability to effectively give persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to various audiences

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations

Ability to effectively listen and get clarification to respond to a wide-range of questions

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply the concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages

Ability to develop, interpret and evaluate complex forecasts and models

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY: 

Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid and concrete conclusions that can be acted upon.  Ability to apply creativity to problem solving and utilize analytic skills and modeling capabilities to provide ongoing insight into the business and to make recommendations and decisions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time.  Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required.  Manual dexterity is required.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

Office environment.
